Very simple wording, easy to grasp.

I am a psychology major in my third year, and rather than try to sell this book back for cash, I decided to keep it, at least until the DSM-IV-TR comes out. It makes otherwise tricky concepts like the Personality Disorder clusters (schizoid vs. schizotypal will be the death of me) much easier to understand. Its case studies are relevant, and its information is useful beyond measure.

Extremely Informative text

Even though reading of this text was mandatory, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Very informative and it's modern feel and use of pictures and graphs give support to it's information along with helping the reading to 'digest' the information easier. I would recommend this book for anyone who is curious about abnormal psychology or even just the history of psychology because this text goes into both areas. This is not just for psych majors it is for anyone!

Used this book with power point notes. I liked the book because it went into detail and helped clarify notes. This had statistics, definitions, DSM models, and treatment plans. It would be a great tool in college or even AP courses.
