excellent content, well organized

Had a course with Dr. Galatowitsch at the University of Minnesota which followed this text closely. Extremely well written and organized. Content is accessible to non-ecologists but contains opportunities to expand into more depth throughout. Up to date and relevant to the paradigms shaping current restoration practices and mindsets. Highly recommended.

Incredible introduction to Ecological Restoration. The best parts of the book are the extensive case studies. As restoration is fundamentally an applied science it was particularly engaging to see the inner workings of projects and the effectiveness and pitfalls of certain restoration techniques.

This book was the best textbook that I'd read for undergraduate and graduate students of the environmental sciences. I liked it very much and I recomend to all students and teachers of environmental sciences.
